Marathon

I am really considering running the Thunder Road Marathon (http://www.runcharlotte.com/) in Charlotte on December 8th. I know it would be a lot of training, but I think if I have something to work for I can do it. It looks like a fun race...I'm going to pray about it and decide soon. I need to start my training if I am going to do it! What do ya'll think? Good idea or crazy?! Let me know...

Are you considering running the marathon, the half marathon or the 5K? The 5K or half, I'd say go for it... the marathon, I'd say, you're NUTS!!!

that sounds great. If you want to be really hard core you can push Beckham and Ainsley when you run it. I take an exercise class from a woman that trains marines and she used to run marathons pushing her 2 kids!! Can you beileve that? I have a hard time running 3 miles with both kids let alone a marathon. Now she is CRAZY (and tough as nails).

JB I don't know many Marines who admit to being trained by women. :)
Meggo, I think you'd enjoy the process of training for and running the marathon. It wouldn't all be fun but nothing good ever is....
(a few free sooooothing words)

You'd do a great job running the marathon. It'd be a nice goal to work towards over the summer.

Adam if you saw this woman and how fit she is you would be amazed. Her class is so tough guys don't even make it though it. i don't know if it is b/c I come from a military family but it my favorite class. I feel like I have accomplished something when I finish it (though I am always sore for days). Meggo maybe this summer you can take it with me.
